1. Agreement

By accessing or using myaphantasia.com or app.myaphantasia.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

My Aphantasia provides a self-administered aphantasia assessment and a structured 30-day training protocol designed to engage mental imagery pathways. The Service includes a severity score, a cognitive profile, progressive exercises, and progress tracking.

3. Not medical advice

The Service is provided for educational and self-knowledge purposes only. It is not a medical diagnosis, clinical assessment, or treatment recommendation.

The assessment results, severity scores, profile types, and training exercises do not constitute medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider. If you have concerns about your cognitive experience, consult a neurologist or other licensed professional.

We make no claims that the training protocol will produce specific outcomes. Individual results vary.

4. Accounts

Accounts are created automatically when you complete your purchase. Authentication is handled via magic link (email-based login). You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access the Service through your account.

5. Pricing and payment

Access to the training protocol is sold as a single one-time payment of $99 USD for lifetime access. There are no recurring charges, no automatic renewals, and no monthly or annual plans.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Refund policy

If your Vividness Index does not increase within 30 days of starting the training protocol, you are entitled to a full refund, no questions asked. To request a refund, email alex@myaphantasia.com with your account email.

Refund requests outside the 30-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis.

7. Account closure

Because access is sold as a one-time payment, there is no subscription to cancel. You retain access for as long as the Service is operated. If you wish to close your account or delete your data, email alex@myaphantasia.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent payment requirements.
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or publicly display the assessment questions or training exercises.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Service, including the assessment methodology, training exercises, scoring algorithms, and written content, is the intellectual property of My Aphantasia. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. It does not grant ownership of any content.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific results will be achieved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Aphantasia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
